the Price of a Smog Check

Every car must regularly pass through a smog test to ensure that the pollution levels are well within bounds. I periodically get this test done so as to contribute my bit towards keeping the environment clean. I got this smog test done at a nearby garage. This was the garage that i frequently visited to kepp my cars in good condition. I was charged $30 for the service.

I am quite satisfied with the service that i received. Since the garage owner was an acquaintance, i did not need to wait much longer to get the service. Also since i was a regular visitor my car was treated with royalty. The service was done in around forty minutes and my car had cleared the test.

I would like to tell you that unless you know some garage owner or mechanic personally, do not visit just any garage to get this service. Different places offer this service and their cost varies form around $20 to upto $50. Also if your car fails the smog test, the recommendations of the mechanics must not be ignored. Also it is better if you take an appointment for the smog test as otherwise you might have waste a lot of time waiting in queue.
