the Price of a Smog Check

The price of the service included the detailed analysis of the smog coming out of my car's exhaust. It also included the technician fee, equipment fee and all applicable state taxes. The fee also covered the state issued certification fee of about 8 $.

I got my most recent Smog check done at a new place which is located in the suburbs of San Francisco. The garage is a registered station and has prices which are quite competitive as compared to that of other stations. The service was prompt and I also got a free inspection (basic) of my vehicle free of cost along with the smog check. It made me feel special and I believe I may visit them for other autocare needs. However I believe considering the huge flow they were attracting, they could have set a precedent and brought down the checkup prices further down.

Smog check is for analysis of the emissions coming out of that tail pipe of your car. It measures and analyzes different parameters and fractions. It also indicates the engine condition, fuel usage and possible wear and tear. I was happy to know that my car's engine was in a relatively excellent condition given its age and mileage. If one finds any gross abnormality during their smog checks be sure to get it checked thoroughly for the cause. its a way of doing something for the environment and every single person can contribute to it.
