Description of service
My husband and I had a private hour and a half consultation with a private trainer when we started at our gym. He gave us a very detailed plan in writing to follow when we went to the gym.
Review of Service
The trainer was very good. He talked to both of us a long time about what we were looking for. He asked us about any injuries we'd had and what kind of special things we were looking to focus on. He also asked about our general eating habits and how active we were at other times during the day. They he showed us different machines to use. He took note of how many reps and how much weight we should use. He also gave us a plan as to when to know to raise the weight and/or rep numbers and how much to raise them by. He showed us several different options to get our cardio in and recommended we try to mix it up to keep it interesting. He was very friendly and I'm pretty sure we went over our time allotted but he seemed really interested in making sure we got everything we needed.
Tips
I would definitely recommend it. I do wish we could go to one more often as it seems it'd be a great way to stay motivated. I would say definitely make sure you find someone who will tailor a plan specific to you - that is what you're paying for!
