Description of service
My partner and I are members of a local gym but we were not getting the results that we were after! I came up with the idea of getting a joint personal trainer to save money and get twice the bang for the buck!
Review of Service
We received daily workout routines and once a week personal training sessions. I did not find the generic workout routines very helpful however, but when we were able to work out with our trainer I would leave the gym feeling like I had really really accomplished something! We were also given generic print out meal plans that we were to follow, I felt that they were not at all specific to what we liked and what we would even consider eating...so that did not work that well either!
Tips
Personal trainers often will use major scare tactics to convince you that you NEED to be one of their clients! Do not fall for these, they told me that I had the heart of a 45 year old smoker (when I am a 21 year old athlete!) Personal trainers are a very helpful tool if you are already in decent shape and really looking to kick your workout up a notch! They are also very good at holding you accountable for your actions and pushing you to do what you are capable of in the gym. I would highly suggest that you barter with the trainers! Almost 90% of the time you can convince them to knock off membership fees, joining cost, contracted months....the whole nine yards! Just simply tell them that their price is not in your budget! It really works! Best of luck!
