Description of service
I trained in a 3 person session at my gym and each of paid $50. We were giving a tough one hour work out on the busy gym floor. The training was amazing, and gave us each stations however, we were forced to share the floor with all the gym members which did cut into the amount of time we actually spent working out.
Review of Service
The trainer was AMAZING, however, as stated above paying $50 to share equipment with people who aren't paying is a lot. I do feel like I got a lot out of the session and if I went during a non-crowded time it would more worth my investment. While this trainer did technically make $150 for the hour, I know that the gym takes more than half. So... I don't feel bad. She was just amazing.
Tips
For getting a trainer -
1) Someone you trust
2) Someone certified
3) Get recommendations from other gym staff (not trainers) and their clients
4) Investigate what type of training they specialize in (i.e. free weights, endurance training, strength training, yoga, pilates, gravity, kiensis etc. etc)
5) Investigate who they normally train (i.e. school moms, athletes, teens, obese)
6) Find people to train with who will keep you dedicated and honest
7) You will never see results unless you keep up your end of the bargain (i.e. eating right, working out when oyu are not with the trainer)
