Description of service
After going to a homeopathic remedy lecture on the university campus, I became intrigued with the concept of reflexology. One of the speakers there was a reflexologist who worked at a local Acupuncture center. I liked her a lot and felt she was very approachable, so I scheduled an appointment with her that night after the lecture. The appointment lasted about an hour and included a chat with the reflexologist on what I hoped to gain by the treatment. She only dealt with my feet, not my hands or ears. We decided, after some discussion, to let this appointment focus on mental anxiety issues. She rubbed and put pressure to areas on my feet. Unfortunately, because I am ticklish, the treatment was interrupted a few times until she realized what she could and couldn't do to my feet.
Review of Service
I have to say that I came away from this treatment more tense than when I arrived. I blame myself for this though, as my ticklish feet did not cross my mind when making the appointment. Because I was laying there waiting to be tickled, I did not relax fully at any point and do not think that I benefited in any way from the treatment. I have thought of going back and having the hand or ear treatment done to see if that would help me at all, as tickling would not be an issue. The reflexologist was great and very professional. She was also very patient with me and my tickle issues. I would only recommend this treatment to those without ticklish feet.
Tips
If you have ticklish feet, do not do this. Opt for the hand or ear treatment instead or you will be wasting your money like I did. It also takes an open mind. You have to be open to alternative medicines to get anything out of this at all, as mind over matter is very powerful.
