We were really pleased that someone was out to the house so quickly and he was able to get the problem fixed and we didn't lose any of the contents of the refrigerator or the freezer, so that was a relief. He was friendly, took off his shoes when he came into the house, and went right to work on the problem. He seemed to really know what he was doing and we felt confident that he wasn't trying to cheat us because we only had to pay for his time and one small part. The price for the service was very fair and we have recommended that company to our friends and neighbors.

There isn't any way to prepare for or predict when you will need repair service on the refrigerator, but you can have the name of a repair company already written in your address book or list of important numbers so that you will be ready when it happens.
