I was having a lot of trouble with my steering, and my tires were making a horrible grinding noise. I was referred to a smaller repair shop, and I determined that the price they were going to charge me for fixing my tire problem, provide my tires, and perform the alignment was going to be far less than other, large chain shops. It was found that I needed to have my driver side axle repaired as well.
Review of Service
When I drove my car for the first time after it was fixed, it was like I was driving a brand new vehicle. I really thought that some of the problems I was having, including the noises that the car was making, were above and beyond the tires. I was thrilled that this repair took care of virtually every ailment I was having. I was amazed at the thorough job that was done, and I know I will be taking my car back to this place again in the near future.
Tips
Many people who need tires or tire repair look to the big chains for help. And in fact, I called many of these places myself before I took my own car in. For me, the myth that only a big shop or a dealership can provide tire and tire care has been disspelled. The smaller shop had nice people to work with, they made me feel like their most important customer, and they did an outstanding job. The moral: bigger is NOT always better.
