Description of service
In March 2009 I took my car to get the oil changed when the repairmen noticed that I had a nail in my tire. They said it was in the wall and I would need new back tires. The mechanics told me that it would throw the alignment off if I did not purchase two new tires instead of just one tire. I wanted to make sure the mechanics weren't trying to just make me buy new tires so I took my car to another shop for a second opinion. The other shop also told me that I needed new tires. So, I purchased two new back tires for my Honda, Civic. I wasn't ready financially to purchase expensive tires so they showed me two HP259 tires which were on sale for fifty dollars each. So, for the two tires I pair one hundred dollars. The other fifty was in labor and the use of their garage. Since they were giving me a deal it did take about three hours for their service. The materials that I payed for was the tires but they did use their own materials and tools to actually change and align the tires. Once the tires were on they checked the alignment and said everything was good.
Review of Service
The service at the shop that changed my tires was great. They did an excellent job changing and aligning the tires. I have not had a problem with either the tires or alignment since. The only downfall was that I did have to wait three hours for a pretty simple service. However, the price was so good that I did not complain.
Tips
If one shop tells you that you need new tires or your tires aligned and you do not think you need the service then check out other shops. Shopping around can help you find good deals and honest opinions. I went to two shops because the last time I was told that I needed a new tire because of a nail was not true. I took my tire to another shop and they fixed it with no problem. So, shop around and go to multiple shops if you feel that the mechanics are giving you bad advice.
