Description of service
I needed to have my car aligned after having a new suspension put on my car. The alignment itselft was only 49.00. I also need to have two new front tire put on as my car had the tires worn on the front pretty badly from being out of alignment. The two new tires I was expecting to cost me upwards of 140 a tire actually cost me 80. I have low profile tires on my car 205/45/r17. This was extremely good pricing for the the tires. I also had the repair guy put on new locking lug nuts on my car no charge. So with taxes I was able to leave the shop for 249.00 after tax.
Review of Service
The service took me about an hour and a half. I had someone pick me up at the shop since I didn't want to hang around a mechanic shop for that long. The guys at the shop were nice but a little odd as well, but they are mechanics so I don't know what else could have been expected. Be prepaired social skills aren't a requirement for good mechanics and don't expect to be entertained, that said you shouldn't expect rudeness as well. They were professional at the shop I went to and I would hope the same for you.
Tips
If the repair is going to take a while arrange a ride. Call ahead and get average repair times and also call around for pricing from other providers. I went local and not with a big chain. It seems like big chains are cheaper until they start adding in all the extras and trying to oversell you. If you can't arrange a ride bring a book and change for a drink at the drink machine. I don't know why, but it seems like shops always have a drink and food vending machine.
