the Price of Music Lessons

I took several lessons in different areas of music. The lessons are 30 minutes in length and are taught by instructors with years of experience. The rate is $20 a half hour with no taxes included. Tips are allowed to the individual instructors based on their instruction.

Each instructor was very pleasant and helpful in the learning process. They took their time to introduce themselves to me and let me know that it didn’t count toward my lesson time. I got to know a little about them and they got to know a little about me. It was a great way to break the ice. Afterward, I took a test to find out where I was at musically. Was I an advanced or medium musician? From there, we mapped out my lessons. What I was to practice and what I was going to learn. Each time I came back, both the instructor and I had always had fun learning together. They were so good at instruction, that they knew when I was not practicing. Their quality of knowledge about music and their instruments made learning fun and enjoyable. With their vast knowledge, I was able to learn faster in a manner that was easy to understand.

Research each place that offers lessons. Meet with the instructors to find out what type of experience they have. From there, make sure that they are teaching you an instrument that they are fluent in. A good way to find a teacher is going to a music store, or talking with local school band departments to find out who they might recommend.
