the Price of Youth Football

I had to pay for my son to join the football team, as well as quite a few other costs. I had to give him money if he was going to play somewhere else. I also had to spend a lot of money on gas driving him to various locations. The costs of his uniform and accessories were very expensive to purchase brand new as well.

I think that having my son join a football team was very beneficial to him and expensive to me. It was worth spending the money for him to learn new skills, but I wish it wasn't so expensive. I was surprised at how much it was to purchase the football uniform for him as well as how expensive the shoes and padding items were. I knew the gas cost was expensive, I just didn't know that I would have to drive him to so many different locations.

If you know another person that has a child in this sport, try to talk to them! They may have hand-me-downs from other children that you can grab for free or for very little money. Also, try to talk to them about car-pooling, this can save you a lot of money in the gas department!
