Description of service
Last year my son decided he wanted to participate in the youth football league with his friends. The registration fee included all practice and games, as well as his uniform and pads and helmet (borrowed). We were responsible for the cost of other equipment, such as cleats, cut, gloves, etc. He had practice twice a week and one game a week during the course of the season.
Review of Service
The coach did a good job in not only instilling the basics of football, something my son had already had a good understanding of from watching it on Sunday, but also how to successfully work with, and be part of a team. That sense of team work, as well as discipline, is what I am really glad that he got out of the experience. It was fun to see him doing mini versions of drills that I had done in high school, and the coach did a good job of balancing making the kids learn, with letting them have fun and be a kid.
Tips
Make sure that you are supportive of your child, and it is a big plus if at least one parent can get to every game in order to show them that you value things that are important to them.
