Description of service
We were there for my daughter's eighteen month old check up. She was due for two shots. One was the chicken pox vaccine and another was a Hepatitis shot. She was also weighed. Her height was measured as was the circumference of her head. The nurse took her temperature because I had concerns about her health. The doctor checked her ears, eyes and throat.
Review of Service
I was very pleased with the service we received. The nurse was wonderful and gentle. No one likes getting shots, especially not a little baby who only understands that someone is hurting her. The doctor was very patient and answered all of my (many!) questions. Last year at this time, my daughter had a double ear infection and I had no idea because she showed absolutely no symptoms. I had the doctor check her ears this time, just in case, because we were going out of state for three days and I didn't want to find out that she was sick.
The doctor took the time to ask me if I had any other concerns or questions before leaving to go to his next patient.
Tips
Always schedule your young child's appointment for when she is at her best. Never schedule an appointment when your child will be overtired or hungry. Many children don't like going to the doctor as it is. It's worse when they are at their worst!
Write any questions you have for the doctor down ahead of time. In the office, while comforting your child, you may forget to ask things that you wanted to.
