Description of service
My child had been feeling ill for a couple days so we finally got him an appointment at the family pediatrician. Our appointment was for 4:30 but we didn't get in until 5:10 so I'm not sure what good an appointment is if they can't keep it. Once in my son was weighed in and then the doctor did all the usual things such as check his heart, blood pressure, temperature and even took a urine test. Then we sat and waited for about an hour why he was being diagnosed. We were given a prescription for two different drugs to make him feel better.
Review of Service
The doctor is very friendly but our only complaint is that he is so slow to get anything done. We sat for over an hour just waiting. I think we actually saw the doctor for just under ten minutes. I guess that's how it is now a days doctors just aren't as personal as they used to be. $500 is a lot of money, but doctors aren't cheap and nothing is more important than my son and his health. He wound up having a severe case of the flu which was treated by some antibiotics and he was feeling better in a couple days and back to himself in about 5 days.
Tips
Not much you can do in this situation but hope you have insurance. We don't so it was very expensive, but in the end worked out and we're back to normal.
