the Price of a Pediatrician

This payment is for a well-baby visit to my six month old's pediatrician. It includes the doctor visit and immunizations.

We really like our pediatrician and feel that we get a very good value for what we pay. We very rarely have to wait more than five minutes to get into the examination room and the staff is very attentive. They always remember details about my daughter and are extremely thorough with her check ups. They've been able to answer all of the questions I've had (as a new mom, there are a lot!) and have always been able to see her right away when she's sick. We have health insurance, so we only pay a small co-pay, but the bill always shows what the cost of the visit would be if we paid for it in full. Even if we had to pay the full amount, I was surprised at how cheap it was.

I would recommend always keeping up with the bills the doctor sends you and the statements you get from your insurance company. I have noticed several charges that were not billed to my insurance because of a glitch with the insurance company. You will save yourself a lot of money if you are vigilant and pay attention to what you're being charged.
