Description of service
I took my eight year old daughter to a new pediatrician because she was complaining of an ear ache. The price, 78.00 was the cash cost for a visit. The receptionist gave us a health history form to fill out, the doctor looked in my daughters ears and throat, and prescribed a antibiotic for her. They gave us a sheet of instruction for her condition- what they called swimmers ear. The cost of the prescription was not included. I got that at the drug store.
Review of Service
I thought the service was acceptable. Not memorable, not bad. I went to a new doctor because we lost our insurance so I decided if I had to pay for it my self, I would choose a office closer to our home. They made an effort to get us in the schedule the same day, I appreciated that. The total time in the office was about 30 minutes, including a 15 minute wait while we filled out papers and a 10 minute wait in the exam room. The doctor spent about 5 minutes with us. The doctor communicated well with my daughter and my daughter liked her, so that is a big plus. The staff was professional, the office was spotless. The carpet, furnishings and decoration was modern and looked almost new. It gave the office a nice image, "up to date and professional".
Tips
I had a referral from a friend who said this doctor was great to work with, ask around, not everyone goes to the same doctor. Call the office and ask for prices before you go. This office was not exact, but gave me a price range so I had an idea of what to expect. Trust you first impression- is the office clean? The staff professional? The waiting room full- not a good sign in my book, why are they keeping people waiting? If your first impression is not good, cancel your appointment, you can always go to an emergency center if you have to.
