Review of Service
My two year old daughter hadn't been eating well and was complaining about her throat hurting. When I discovered that she had a fever, I took her to her pediatrician. The doctor did a basic check up, which included her eyes, ears, and chest. He then asked the nurse to swab my daughter's throat to check for a strep infection. The result of test was negative, but he said that it would have to grow over night and they would let me know if anything changed. My daughter had a virus, which doesn't require any prescription medicine for treatment. The pediatrician advised me to treat the fever with Tylenol and Motrin. He also said to make sure that she got plenty of liquids. I have been going to the same pediatric office with all of my children for the past six years, so I trust them and feel that my children are in good hands. The price of the visit was about the same amount that they always charge.
Tips
When choosing a pediatrician, consider factors such as the location and office hours. Go to the office and talk with the staff and doctors before deciding.
