Description of service
For this doctor it had cost $75 to see him. There was an additional $50 added because my child needed to have a blood test done and an antibiotic shot.
Review of Service
We had chosen this doctor because we heard he was good. He has a good bedside manner with the kids and he is friendly. I felt the initial cost of the office visit was a little steep, but since I heard he was good, I felt it was ok. We waited in the waiting room for a good 30 plus minutes before being taken back to the nurses area. There my child was weighed and we were asked questions about their health. The nurses wanted details and was writing down what I said. It took another 25 minutes before the doctor arrived to see us. He was very nice. He asked the same questions that nurse did. I didn't understand why we had to answer these questions with the nurse if the doctor was just going to do the same thing. It was if he didn't take a look at the chart at all. He was very good with my child. He did the normal exams (listening to chest, looking in ears/throat/nose). He then ordered blood work. We waited in the office for another 30 minutes and it was concluded that my child had an infection. The doctor did come in and tell us and then ordered an antibiotic shot. He also wrote us a prescription for an antibiotic and told us to call if we needed anything else.
Tips
I would advise listening to referrals about doctors. Personal experience with that doctor is the best advise one could give. I am glad we went to the doctor. I do think they could streamline some of their procedures to make it more timely for the doctor and patient; but overall the experience was a good one. I feel that the cost was well within the scope for what we received.
