Description of service
I took a class to learn how to use rubber stamps to create greeting cards. The class was two hours long on a Saturday afternoon at a small craft store. The twenty dollar cost covered instruction and supplies to make three cards with envelopes, plus a free rubber stamp and one color ink stamp pad.
The instructor showed us how to choose stamps, cards and colors to make a nice looking card. She demonstrated how to make a mixed media stamped card using colored pencils and colored pencils and glitter to create boarders for the cards. Then we made our own cards from a variety of papers, stamps and other craft materials.
Review of Service
The service was fine, I went with a friend and we enjoyed the class, it was fun. The instructor did a good job explaining how to match stamps, ink colors and papers to create a mood and theme for the card. All the supplies were good quality. She provided lots of example to give us inspiration. The class was small, just six people so there was lots of individual help with the cards. We were encouraged to shop for supplies to take home with us when the class was finished.
Tips
Be sure to ask if supplies are included in the price of the class when you sign up. Take a friend with you, it will be more fun that way. If you sign up in the store, ask to see examples of the instructors work before you sign up. Plan on taking your check book because you are going to want to shop for craft supplies after a class like this!
