Description of service
This price was for two people. It was $15 per person plus $8 for supplies to make the stones. At the end of the hour long class, you got to walk away with one stepping stone and printed instructions of what you were taught that day so you could make more at home if you want. You were told before the class to bring anything you thought you may like to place into your stepping stone. We brought some polished rocks, seashells, and crystals. We were also responsible for bringing a bag or something to take the stone home in. The stepping stone ended up being made out of quick setting up cement poured into homemade molds. Ours was round but they also offered other shapes like squares and ovals.
Review of Service
I was actually a little disappointed in this class. For $46 I thought it would be something new. The class sign up did not state that it would be cement like this. I already knew how to make stepping stones this way, so that was sort of why I was bummed. Would be a great class for kids or anyone who had never worked with cement though. And I did have fun with my partner making them. They also had it at a locally owned garden center, so we were outside in the morning air doing this and that was fun. I just wish I would have known more about the class before signing up for it but that was my own fault.
Tips
Once again I got burned by not researching the class a little better. I still had fun and am glad I went and did the class, but I probably would not have gone and paid that money had I known it was something that I already knew how to do. This is a great thing for families to do together. There was one family of four there and all four did their own stepping stone. You could tell they were having a blast. I would really recommend this for families for sure! Kids loved it!
