Description of service
I took a 5 week quilting class. I provided all materials. It was one hour once a week. The instructor was an experienced quilter.
Review of Service
I learned a lot in the class and all and all I'm glad I took it. I went in with really no idea how quilting worked. Before the first class I was e-mailed a list of supplies to bring the first class. I went to local craft store and asked for help because I didn't know what a lot of the stuff was. We had homework between each class. One week I was unable to complete the homework and it was really bad because then I couldn't do the next step in class. When I signed up they did not tell us how much time we would need to invest between classes. If they had I would have waited to take the class at a different time of the year when I wasn't so busy with work. They also spent a lot of time giving us advice on how and where we could sell completed quilts. I'm sure this was helpful to some but that wasn't really why I was there.
Tips
Ask up front and beforehand if you will need to invest a lot of time between classes. Ask the instructor about everything that will be covered to see if their goals work well with yours.
