I backed out of my driveway one evening in the dark and heard kind of a crunching or ripping noise, and when I checked it the next morning, my bumper had been partially torn off by the edging on my driveway. I took it in to my dealer's repair shop, and they noticed that the bumper had been totally torn off from the part that screws it on to the car body, so they fixed on some new screw holes and re-screwed it together. They also touched up the finish where it had been scratched.
Review of Service
The whole process only took one day, and when I took my car in during the morning, they gave me a ride to work. They also called me when they were done. They apparently saved me several hundred dollars in not having to replace the whole bumper, which I appreciate, and were very genial and thoroughly explained everything they did.
Tips
Go to someone you trust with your car. I've been using the same repair shop since I got this car, and over the life of it, I have come to know and trust the mechanics, and they are familiar with my car and its history.
