Description of service
I went into an auto repair shop because someone had run into my rear bumper on my 2002 Isuzu Axiom. I wanted an estimate on the touch up paint for the scratches which were incurred due to the "accident". I received an estimate on the paint of 55.00. I then asked if they had someone to do it. They told me I could bring it back the following day for the one person who could do it. That person was out on the day of my initial visit. So, I came back the next morning and showed the guy my scratches and ding on my rear bumper. The guy told me that he would charge me 105.00 to get the ding out, and properly touch up the scratches. I agreed to it without hesitation. He said it would take about seven hours. I was due at work, so I left my car and went to work. This was around 730 in the morning. Around noon, the guy called me and said my car would be ready for me in about two and a half hours. I found a ride to the garage at three p.m. and found the car in great shape with the scratches removed, the ding removed and my rear bumper really looked like new again.
Review of Service
I feel the service I received was absolutely great. The care and concern given to my car on the first day was supreme. I was able to compare the color that would be used on my vehicle to assure it matched and I was surprised to see that the color was available because my car is not an every day color in this area of town. I found the customer service on the following day to be just as great as on day one. The person who actually worked on my car made sure I was satisfied with the work he said he would do and upon my return to pick it up he ensured that I was satisfied with the work he had done. I appreciate the fact that my satisfaction was really important to this garage and I feel that if I ever need a ding, dent or scratch repaired again, I know exactly where to go. In additionto the rear bumper repair on my 2002 Isuzu Axiom, I also received some very sound advice about my tires, battery and car as a whole. This garage gained my respect and me as a customer simply by going above and beyond to ensure that I received what I paid for completely.
Tips
The only tips or advice I would have is to make sure you have a good discussion with the owner or worker at the location that you choose to repair your bumper. I have seen many people with a different color paint on their vehicle which totally can be seen and probably makes your car look worse. The repair places are really able to find your car color and can have it shipped to them overnight. Many people including myself didnt know that before this experience. Previously I would have just gotten a color that was close to the actual car color. The only other advice I would give is to make sure that your car will be treated with the utmost care and that what you are paying for is exactly what you intend to pay for and exactly what you will get. Talk frankly to the person who will do the work because as I understand, this is something that calls for intricate detailing and the possibility of it not being done to your satisfaction is very high. Surely, if you opt to have your rear bumper repaired, you want it done right and you want it done to the point of your complete satisfaction. I got that with this service.
