Description of service
Our vehicle was rear ended by an uninsured motorist and so the middle of our rear door had caved in. This caused our door open light to show and for the door to not be closed completely.
Review of Service
We didn't really have the opportunity or the desire to spend hours price-matching for a couple reasons. We knew the insurance company was covering it and we went to a friend's auto repair shop that we knew would give us a fair price. He was great. It took a few days for them to fix, but in the meantime they had let us use one of their cars to drive around for a few days. All in all we were very happy with the service and the vehicle works fine today.
Tips
I would go by referral only as opposed to finding someone on the internet or the yellow pages. If you don't know somebody in the auto repair business ask a few friends and you are guaranteed to find someone who does. Although, if you wanted to you could do the leg work yourself by asking around several different places. However, be sure to ask the auto repair shop if there is any possibility that the price will increase from unexpected charges while the services are being rendered. You may not be getting the deal you thought you were getting.
