the Cost of Bumper Repair

My wife had just dropped me off at work when someone rear-ended her on Washington Blvd. We took the car to a local body shop where they examined the damage. Turns out, the license plate from of the SUV that hit the car did a significant anount of damage, punching two screw-sized holes through the bumper, cracking the entire length of the bumper, and breaking the mounting brackets securing the bumper to the car. The shop did an estimate for repair of the damages and for replacement of the whole bumper. Replacing the bumper ended up being the cheaper option.

The service we received was excellent. The repair staff did a rapid, accurate appraisal of the entire cost of the repair vs. the replacement project, allowing us to make an informed decision that fit our budget. The part was promptly ordered, and we received a courtesy phone call as soon as the part came in to the shop. We took the car back to the shop the day the part arrived. They provided us with a loaner car (free of charge) to use during the repair process. It was in immaculate condidtion. The repairs were completed quickly and correctly, and the car was returned to us the same day.

Always shop around to find the best service for any automotive repair. In this case, we knew of the local repair shop by reputation already, so we knew what kind of service to expect, but this is not always the case. Do your homework, so the only ride you take is the one on your newly repaired vehicle!
