Description of service
Departing from (and returning to) Skagway and you'll pass many places of historic significance: Dead Horse Gulch, Bridal Veil Falls, and more on your way to the scenic summit of White Pass. Along the way expert tour guides regale you with tales of the Great Gold Rush of 1898 while you relax in restored parlor cars and take in the magnificent scenary as you ride this historic narrow guage railroad. If you're pleased with the service, feel free to tip your guide as a "thank you" on your way out.
Review of Service
The service is the best. The tour guides are extremely knowledgable and really bring to life the journey by regaling you with both old-timey gold rush tails and descriptions of places of geographic significance. Even though this tour is a bit pricey, it's worth the cost for the beautiful scenary and feeling that you are getting the true Alaska experience.
Tips
Be prepared to block out three hours of your time in Skagway for the tour. If you're visiting by cruise ship this is important if you have other sites you want to see while in port. Be sure there is no time conflict between this and any other tours.
