the Price of a Train Tour

Train rides and tours leading from downtown Denver up through the mountains and the ski areas with information and histories of specific regions and towns along the tour route.

This was an exquisite way to see some of the beauty of Colorado's High Country. It gave us the chance to travel through the mountains without having to worry about inclement weather, and gave us the opportunity to learn a lot about Colorado's history, the mines, and to see some of the most beautiful country in the world through the comfort of a train window. The train was comfortable, and had restrooms, as well as a snack and dining car, and the kids were able to move around without feeling like the were confined to a small seating area. The hosts were friendly and knowledgeable, and the train ride was beautiful and scenic. I can't wait to do it again, but next time earlier in the fall before the snow falls.

If you get motion sickness, the train tour may not be for you. Otherwise, take some motion sickness medicine before you board the train, or you will nauseous the whole time! Don't wait until last minute to book your tour because they fill up fast, and tickets can get quite pricey.
