Description of service
This included tickets for two adults and three kids, and the experience of standing on a platform with hundreds of other people waiting for a train.
Review of Service
The tour was really interesting, it was simple getting to a old depot, standing in line for the tickets, waiting an additional two hours for the train to show up, crowding on the train in a mob type manner, trying to find a seat with a decent view, trying to hear the tour guide and best of all observing the mountains and terrain as we passed by it. The experience of being pushed and shoved was at best interesting, but the tour was really interesting, the mountains and forest were really beautiful, and the local information about the area was really interesting. It was really something worth doing, and next time we will take the tour in the opposite direction.
Tips
Find out which tour you really want to go on, many times (especially with trains) there are alternate tours that will be occurring at off times. A train has to travel in a specific direction, and then back, many times there will be another trip on a piece of track in the opposite direction. Finding the schedule to allow for dinners and other trips could be very interesting.
