Description of service
Each person in my family each paid $25 for a 2 hour long train ride tour of Carson city to Virginia City which is about 1hr each way. The train guide was very fun and kept the mood of the passengers excited throughout the whole train ride which was impressive. We saw lots of interesting stuff but also he explained some of the historical facts as we went through the scenic train route.
Review of Service
The train operator was of very high quality. He was one of the best public speakers i have encountered in my lifetime because he just knew how to get everyone laughing so it wasn't so awkward sitting on a train with 20 other random people. It was by far one of our best stops on the whole week long trip we had and i would highly recommend anyone going through Nevada to go out of your way and stop at this fantastic place. I also would like to say the train was not loud and shaky, which made for a nice quiet smooth ride for a train.
Tips
My main tip would be not to let the wait for the train ride deceive you, there is a lot of the stuff to do in town so i would go stop in and sign up right when you get into town, then once you are signed up go spend a few hours looking through the shops, and grab something to eat, by then your train will be ready.
