Description of service
This past December we took a ride on the historic Grand Canyon Railway. The $140 was for the first class seats which provided a wonderful trip. We had reclining seats with plenty of room between to stretch and relax. The entire car had large windows to view all the passing scenery. Food and drinks were provided for both trips to and from our destination. The tour also offers coach class for around $70, they offer an observation dome which sits up above the car for around $170, and last they offer a luxury parlor class which is the most luxurious class they offer at around $190.
Review of Service
The service was outstanding, all the attendants were wonderful and friendly. During the ride they have actors ride up to the train pretending to conduct a train robbery. The children love it and its adds a little bit of excitement to the relaxing ride. The scenery is beautiful and the car designs allow you watch as you watch from your reclined seats. I got word that during some of the Christmas tours they have Santa Claus board rather than the usual cowboys.
Tips
My biggest tip is to take the kids and family along for this tour. It is completely a family adventure that is fun for all ages.
