Description of service
This is the price we paid for a train tour on a vacation in Pennsylvania. The tour lasted approximately eight hours and included numerous stops for dining and shopping opportunities. The price was per person and was for a Wine and Cheese Train Tour that included first class fare as well as complimentary wine and cheese offerings. The price did not any meals or beverages other than the wine and cheese. The price also did not include any gratuities.
Review of Service
My husband and I absolutely loved this train tour. We actually were not on the train for the entire eight hours. About half of the time, we were shopping, eating at a restaurant, or sight seeing. The area is so beautiful, very rustic, and lots of fun! The conductor was very knowledgeable and the staff was both friendly and efficient. Overall, the price was excellent considering the amount of time we were on the train.
Tips
If you plan to go on a longer train tour such as this one, prepare to spend extra for gratuities in advance. There are so many staff members that perform different functions and we felt obliged to offer them some gratuity. I would highly recommend a train tour to anyone looking for a unique way to spend their vacation.
