the Price of Career Training

The service was a training/certification class to become a soccer referee. The class met one night a week for eight weeks. Each class was about 3 hours in length. The $145 figure covered the class itself. In addition to that, we also had to purchase two small textbooks for use in the class (about $30 each). The class taught us what we needed to know to become a soccer referee. Basically, it taught us the skills and knowledge necessary to be able to pass the test that is required to become a soccer referee.

I was pleased with the professionalism of the instructors and the organization of the class itself. Very "business-like" and friendly at the same time. Although the material could be boring at times, soccer is a sport I love, so I did enjoy it. Also, it gave me the training necessary to be able to succeed as a soccer ref. All in all, I was pleased.

My tip would be to talk to friends that have gone through similar training. Usually there are a lot of different options in your area for classes, so might as well ask friends who have gone through it who the good teachers are. Makes the class much more enjoyable with good teachers!
