Description of service
This service provided career counseling, training, resumes, coaching, techniques, tips, training for interviews, advice, wardrobe, referrals, typing skills, word processing, etiquette, etc. I got career training for being an administrative assistant.
Review of Service
I would highly recommend career training to anybody who is looking for a new job. Even if you aren't looking for a new career, sometimes refreshers if you are looking for a career in the same field you were formerly in is helpful. The career training was irreplaceable. I took a refresher in administrative assistance because it had been so long since I was in the market for a job, and the wealth of knowledge I received was unbelievable. In career training, I was given ideas how to tweak my resume and update it to highlight my skills better, as well as ways to dress and interview tips that I hadn't thought of before. It was extremely valuable, and I would do it again soon if I am in the market for a new job.
Tips
Even if you don't think you need a career training class, it can be extremely valuable and helpful. If your employer offers any career training classes, it would definitely benefit you more than you know. Also, be sure to update your resume prior to beginning career training so you can see what areas need to be tweaked more than others.
