Description of service
THe dealership had to keep the car for about three days to replace the catalytic converter. They diagnosed the problem of why the car was running rough and not pulling hills well. Then they took off the old part and replaced the new part. They also checked for recalls on parts and tested the car to make sure that the repairs solved the problem.
Review of Service
I rate the service as great. They replaced the part quickly even though it had to be ordered. The price was resonable. They kept the old part to sell as scrap and gave us a discount based on that. They were helpful in working out a billing plan since someone else would be sending in the check for our repairs. They called to let us know that the car was ready and even offered a loaner vehicle while it was in the shop. They were realistic about how much it would cost and how much time it would take.
Tips
Shop around for the best price if possible. Also, make sure that if a part is being replaced, call the scrap yard yourself and find out how much they pay for that specific part. Then either ask for your old part back or for a discount for the amount it can be sold as scrap for.
