the Cost of General Auto Repair

I had a slow leak in my radiator which I was told that my car would take any antifreeze and to just keep it filled up. So I did. The next day, my radiator blew up! Stranded, I was forced to pay over 200.00 to get to the nearest auto shop. I asked them to replace the radiator, upper and lower hoses and all four heater and bypass hoses. Kind of a coolant tune up. They charged me over 700.00 for this job and I paid gladly. However, when I drove away in my car, less than two miles down the road, my car started to smoke under the hood. I stopped and looked. There was still a leak in one of the bypass hoses!

Turns out that they didnt replace any of the heater or bypass hoses and my car over heated, driving it back to the shop. I yelled at them for not performing the tasks I asked and PAID for. They say that the hoses were fine. Little did they know that I parked my car right in the middle of their shop so it would leak all over their floor. I showed the manager the leak and he said that he would replace the hose. The next day, I went to get my car and they ended up changing only one of the 4 hoses. And it wasnt the one that was leaking. So I let it drain on their floor again! Finally after three days and 700.00, it was all fixed. But now I somehow aquired a severe oil leak.

Do your research on these places and learn to fix your own car for minor repairs. Even get someone in the family if possible.
