Description of service
While driving along last week my wife noticed that her Check Engine Light came on. We then made an appointment at our local service station, but did not worry too much because we looked and nothing else seemed to be wrong, and upon further examination the gas cap seemed to be very loose, which I know can sometimes trip the sensor. We brought the car in, they ran the diagnostics, saw that it was related to the gas cap being loose, reset the sensor, and everything seems to be working fine at this point.
Review of Service
As usual, service with this garage was exemplary. Things were ready when they said that they would be ready, and they did not try to upsell us or create a phony, more serious problem. Because we are good customers of the garage, we did not have a long wait to hear the problem, and had the car back in only a few hours.
Tips
Make sure that you always close your gas cap until you hear the click. This was a costly mistake on my wife's part. Also, you should make sure that you do have a garage that you are comfortable with, and that you feel is trustworthy.
