Description of service
I had the check engine light out on my car, the service checked the reason and repaired it. Had an oil change and a fuel injection maintanance also included in this price. The price of the diagnostics is the real shocker, $94, for nothing else but connecting the small computer device to read the code off of my vehicle. Total rip off. The worst part is that I had to pay for the diagnostics even though I had them repair the problem. The price of the part was also around $90. The oil change cost me over $60, for the synthetic oil. The fuel injection cleaning was another $180. With the additional labor and some parts my final bill came to $455.
Review of Service
I believe the amount of work and time they spent on the repair, I paid too much. Not to mention that I also asked them to find out an issue I was having but they could not figure it out what can be a cause of it. I was given back a halfway repaired car.
Tips
Before you have your car worked on for "check engine light" issue, ask the service what is the charge for the diagnostics and do you have to pay it even if you decide to have them fix the issue.
For simple jobs don't use dealer's services, try local mechanics.
