I recently had the muffler repaired on my station wagon. Being an older car, naturally the muffler was bound to go. For the low price of $120, all labor was covered, as well as a brand new muffler and clamps.
Review of Service
It was an excellent service. For such a busy auto shop, it only took them two days to entirely replace the muffler, and because they have a key drop in the door, I was able to drop it off after business hours when I had time. They kept me completely updated via phone when they both started and finished the job. When the car was finished, they even came and picked me up to take me down and pick the car up. The best part was that they have a policy about billing, if you haven't got the money right there and then, you can sign an agreement and still take your car home!
Tips
Call around! Find out the approximate price for parts, then call around to different repair shops and get quotes for the parts plus labor. Most repair shops will tell you how much time it should take, so they can give you an estimate based off their personal knowledge.
