Description of service
Last year i had a lot of trouble with my brakes. I usually am able to replace the pads, shoes, and drums myself but i was running into a lot of problems this time. I was losing brake fluid real bad and my car just wasn't stopping well. I took it to the local mechanic and he was able to daignose the problem. Turns out the shoes had gotten so hot they almost molded to the drums and the brake fluid line to my rear brakes had a leak in it. After a couple of days he was able to fix both problems and had me back in my car.
Review of Service
The mechanic was great, he made sure to check my entire brake system to ensure that there were no other problems. Once he did diagnose the problem he called me immediately and reviewed what parts needed to be fixed. He explained it to me in a way that i could understand and that is always helpful when some of this work sounds like another language. After i agreed to have the work done he did it quickly and got be back into my car in a couple days.
Tips
If you do not have a regular mechanic you take your car to regularly, make sure to look around and different shops. Sometimes they are doing brake checks for free and will be able to help diagnose any problems in your system. Make sure to have your brakes checked often and get them maintenanenced oftern as well. Having your brakes work improperly is a scary ordeal.
