Description of service
My car was running warmer than usual, and it had began to have a white smoke coming out of my tail pipe, also the last time I had changed my oil, it had a milky look to it. I took it to my local mechanic, who has worked on my car for the last few years, and dropped it off for him to look at. It was only 3 hours later that he called me with the bad news. I had blown a head gasket. This is not a very simple job, the whole engine basically had to be torn apart, and be put back together. My mechanic was a little busy at the time, so it was going to take at least 3 days.
Review of Service
My mechanic warranted his work, for the next 3 years which was to include parts and labor. They actually had my car completely finished by mid morning on day 3, which was impressive. When I picked up my car, it ran like it was almost new again.
Tips
It is best to ask around to your friends and family, to try and find a trust worthy mechanic shop near by. There is nothing worse than some one taking advantage of you, when your car breaks down.
