the Cost of Chevy Repair

Initially, anti freeze began leaking out of the car. Someone else was using it at the time. It was brought to a "friend of the family" who repaired cars and resold them. He took a look at it and said he did not want to fix it as it would require taking out the dashbord to determine what ws wrong. The car sat for a while, like a year or so! We finally decided to take it to another mechanic for a last ditch try before we scrapped the car. Lo and Behold, this mechanic not only diagnosed the problem right away, but fixed it with no problem for $300.

Once we took the car to this one man mechanic shop, we were treated with respect and promised the car right away. There was no mention of taking apart the dashboard, or anything else that was mentioned to us. When we got the car back, it ran perfectly and still is. there have been no problems. We could have had the car a year ago had we not listened to the first mechnaic!

1. Get a second opinion if you do not like the first!

2. Get references from reliable sources and make sure they know what they are talking about.

3. Make sure you get periodic checkups. A cars parts dont last forever!!!
