Description of service
I recently had to get the entire transmission replaced in my 2000 Chevy Cavalier. I took it to the mechanic that has done all of my routine repairs on this car. I paid a total of six hundred and eighty nine dollars for the repair, this covered the cost of the transmission as well as the eight hours of labor that went into taking out the old transmission and installing the new one. The mechanic also through in a new timing belt for my car and rotated my tires for me at no extra charge. The total cost of the repair also includes the six percent sales tax that is mandatory in Kentucky.
Review of Service
I was able to bring my car in for a free estimate the very first day that I felt the transmission slipping. The mechanic told me that I could hold off on the job for a few weeks if I needed to gather some money, but I wanted the job done right away. I was able to drop my car off the very same day and they started to work on the job. I picked my car up three days later and it worked like a dream!
Tips
Make sure that the place that you take your car has the parts that your car needs in stock or that they are able to get them quickly!
