Description of service
The first part of this visit was seeing a general practitioner for a knee injury. The doctor looked at and manipulated and the knee in every direction. The doctor also examined the knee while I was standing. The doctor discussed with me what exactly I was doing when the knee pain started.
The doctor then sent me down the hall to have a basic x ray done of the knee. Once this was completed I was taken back into the Dr.'s office to look at and discuss the x ray and the treatment course for my damaged knee.
The office visit with the doctor was $249.90
The x ray was $135.40
Review of Service
The service received was fairly through. The doctor and the x ray technician were friendly, helpful and gave me a good explanation as to what they were doing and why it needed to be done However I did have a very long wait for the doctor to actually initially come into the exam room. It was over thirty minutes.
I thought the cost of the office visit was a little higher than it should be. I thought the cost of the x ray was right in line for the prices in our area.
Tips
My best advice is to have the doctor explain thoroughly to you why any tests or x rays are necessary so there is no misunderstanding later when you get your bill.
