Review of Service
I just changed doctors, and I am not so sure about her just yet. She has been kind and patient, but not very friendly. I don't feel I can open up to her, and that makes me a little nervous. She handled some tests well, and was polite and considerate when giving me the results of my testing, but I don't know if I feel I can really communicate with her. I am considering going back to my old doctor. She hasn't done anything wrong, but her demeanor makes her a bit stand-offish. I am satisfied with the way she handled my issue, but I don't feel at ease with her. It may take a bit more time.
Tips
Be comfortable to have an open dialue with your doctor. If you aren't comfortable enough to really open up to your doctor, things can get overlooked. You need to feel secure and that your problems and time matter. If you forget to mention things to your doctor, or feel rushed during the exams, I have found it helpful to sometimes write things down beforehand that I wanted to talk about. That way you can raise all your issues at the beginning of the visit, and hopefully everything can get resolved without leaving anything out.
