Description of service
I went to my primary care physician for a routine physical exam and only had to pay the co-pay for an office visit, which was $20. My physcial exam was pretty straightforward. They took my blood pressure, checked out the routine health indicators, and asked me some questions. Also, they took bloodwork to run my cholesterol and check for diabetes as well as some other things. Overall, it was quick and painless.
Review of Service
I have always been happy with this physician, which is why I keep going back. He is a nice guy and his staff is always cordial and helpful as well. His office is a bit out of the way for me. But, I think it is worth it. He knows my medical history, which I am sure made this physical exam quicker than usual. Also, the doctor makes me comfortable. I do not feel embarrassed or intimidated telling him anything about my medical history, which is important. It was good to get a "clean bill of health" as I had not had a phsyical exam in some time. I will definitely go back to this doctor for any future issues and referrals to specialists if necessary.
Tips
Your insurance company should cover the cost of a physical exam once every year or two. You'll just have to pay the co-pay. So, consider it to get some peace of mind.
