Description of service
The price for my doctor visit is really the copay. The company that I work for has great benefits and office visits to a general practitioner is only $20. I've been going to this office off and on for about 20 years. This visit was because I had a sinus infection that was just making me feel lousy. I was able to call the office in the morning and was in the office that afternoon. Had my prescription in hand, right after the visit and picked up my medication and was well on my way to recovery.
Review of Service
The service is always quick and efficient. There are times when I want a doctor to spend some time with me, but for things like sinus infections or strep throat, I like to get in and out as soon as possible. This is often the case with this doctor's office. The receptionists are always the most friendly, but they do their job in getting you checked in. Besides, I didn't come to chit-chat with the receptionist. I think the longest I've ever had to wait was about 10-15 after my actual appointment. Then I'm escorted into the patient room and wait just a few more minutes for the doctor. When he appears, I give him my symptoms, he listens to me breathe, checks my sinuses and I'm done. No more than 30 minutes. Just the way I like it.
Tips
You really have to find a doctor you're comfortable with. I had one doctor I was really comfortable with, but his office visits always took forever. One time, I spent nearly 3 hours and this was just for something that was pretty routine. Always remember you are the consumer and if you don't like the doctor, find another one.
