Description of service
This amount ($105) is the amount the average person without health insurance, is required to pay upon seeing a doctor. This amount does not include any tests whatsoever, this is just for a basic doctor's visit. All fees are due in advance when you do not have health insurance.
Review of Service
I called to inquire about an appointment with a specific doctor in regards to a specific question. The $105 was what I was told to bring and that it would not include any type of tests or anything else. I was also told that any tests chosen to be administered would have to be prepaid, although over the phone they could not even suggest a price range. I inquired about making payments and was told that it was not possible, all money must be paid upfront unless you had insurance.
Tips
Needless to say, I did not go through with the above appointment. I instead discovered an income based clinic an hour away from home that didn't care if I had insurance or not. Once I supplied them with proof of income I was able to get all medical treatment, testing and medication for one extremely low price. The staff at the income based clinic was much more personable, and, in fact, seemed very sympathetic to the average working person without insurance.
