I was having trouble with blood pressure so visited a doctor in a 24 hour clinic. There were no appointments, so it was get there and just wait for turn. When I finally got to see the doctor I was in and out quickly, he ordered some blood tests for me from a lab in another facility. The lab charged $180.00 separately to run several types of blood tests. It took about 5 working days to get the results.
Review of Service
I got what I went in for, which was a quick check up and some blood work. The tests showed everything normal, but I paid a huge price to find that out. The doctor said we may want to try some additional tests (such as an EKG) to see if there is another cause for the blood pressure, but it's all very expensive for inconclusive results.
Tips
You are probably better off to monitor your blood pressure at home and see if there is a problem rather than go through a lot of tests. The doctors don't know any more than you do unless they run a lot of tests and if you are not having problems consistently then why waste all of the time and money.
