Description of service
I went to a doctor when my wrist started hurting. I got a student price on the doctor's visit as I didn't have insurance. He charged a flat fee of $75.
Review of Service
My wrist was really bothering me but I didn't have insurance so I waited a long time to get help. When I finally had no choice, I found a doctor that our school recommended because they offered student rates.
As far as the medical care went, it was good. He told me I had tendinitis and recommended some exercises I could do in addition to resting and icing my wrist. He provided me with a note to get out of working on the computer at work and that allowed me to turn a few papers in late as I couldn't type.
However, he was kind of a jerk. Granted, I waited way too long to go in but instead of gently letting me know this he told me in a very curt and hostile tone that I could have really hurt myself waiting so long and made me feel like I was stupid.
Tips
If you're uninsured, see if you belong to some kind of organization that can get you discounted medical fees, such as through a club or your school.
